MINI Cooper S R52 R53 LEAP Omicron 2 Bigger Larger Bonnet Scoop Air Intake. The LEAP Omicron 2 R53 MINI Cooper S Bonnet Scoop was designed with a larger opening to increase airflow onto the intercooler, and reduce its velocity and turbulence, but with the additional'cut-away' feature in the lower part of the scoop, and an extended top lip, a hat tip to the LEAP Lambda R56 R55-R59 MINI Cooper S Bonnet Scoop. It is a direct bolt off / bolt on replacement of the original MINI scoop, utilising 4 stainless steel bolts embedded within the material, but with a bigger, enlarged, more aggressive design providing better cooling performance - real-world tests have found a decrease of 5°C in inlet temperatures!

Its robust design and detailed fabrication guarantee its durability in all weather conditions and has been tested at speeds in excess of 100mph to ensure rigidity and ability to cope with high engine temperatures. Please note that these are fibreglass items, and although every effort is made for the fit to be 100%, due to the manufacturing process and material, a small amount of prep may be required prior to installation. Please note that you may have to remove the standard under bonnet intercooler diverter for the bigger scoop to fit. Polyurethane Bushings Vs Standard Bushes.
